Dr Petra Glover has been the recipient of two Commendations for Excellence. She was awarded the Dean’s Commendation for Excellence in Teaching from Monash University in 2008 and also received mention on the Dean’s Honour Roll for Outstanding Academic Excellence at the University of Queensland on the completion of a Master of Business.
Petra completed her Doctoral studies at the School of Tourism in 2007. Her thesis examined the role of socio-demographic change in shaping future tourism demand in Queensland and included the exploration of generational values as determinants of future tourism demand patterns. Her current research interests focus on product and destination planning and management and include:
- Impacts of demographics and demographic change
- Generations X, Y and Baby Boomers
- Student travel
- Tourism futures and scenario planning
- Destination image
Petra has previously worked at Monash University’s National Centre for Australian Studies and Department of Management, Tourism Research Unit.
