
On Tuesday 7th April the Annual General Meeting for the Tourism, Events, Hospitality and Leisure (TEHL) Student Association Executive Committee was elected.
The association is dedicated to students of tourism, sport and leisure, hospitality and event management and will span both the Ipswich and St Lucia campuses.
Staff from the School also joined the students in their celebrations to congratulate them on the launch of the association.
The TEHL Student Associations’ core goals are to create a support system for students and to offer and highlight professional development opportunities. A calendar of proposed events is produced annually, featuring a range of activities such as seminars on résumé writing and interview skills, guest lectures, and work experience opportunities in related industries. The Association also offers a range of exciting social activities that focus on building strong friendships within the student community.
