Title: Tourism landscape planning in China.
Presenter: Ms Li Cui (Visiting Scholar from Beijing International Studies University)
Abstract: The presentation will introduce the development of China tourism landscape planning, including concept, design scope, design principles and applications. The presentation will focus on the landscape design relationship between cultures, human being, nature, and will illustrate elements of tourism landscape planning. Then she will show her tourism landscape planning projects in China: Kaiyuan ancient city of Liaoning project; Chongqing Jinfo resort landscape design project; Qinghai Lake Tourism Landscape Planning project. She will also take a few minutes to provide:
1) A brief introduction of Tourism School of Beijing International Studies University Liaoning University;
2) The research highlights of tourism school;
3) A brief introduction of her research on ecotourism development and design of tourist town in China
Bio: Ms. Li Cui is a lecturer of Beijing International Studies University. She has a background in landscape designing and tourism planning. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Beihua University and Master of Landscape Design degree from the Northeast Forestry University. Ms. Cui is currently doing her PhD on ecology and ecotourism research of tourist town in China at Beijing Forestry University. She had extensive research and consulting experiences in the areas of tourism planning and landscape designing, and ecotourism development plan in China. Ms. Cui is our visiting scholar sponsored by the Beijing International Studies University
